Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book an appointment with a friend? Mizu Head Spa is located in a private suite for one person. Designed for your own time to yourself.

Should I wash my hair before the appointment? Best to come with unwashed hair. A scalp analysis with a microscope will be done before and after the treatment.

Can I get a head spa treatment if I'm pregnant? Unfortunately we are unable to. The treatment will be an hour or longer, we would not want to put any strain or stress to your body.

What if I have hair extensions or braids, can I receive a head spa treatment? We can not provide a head spa treatment with hair extensions or braids. We recommend the best time to get a head spa treatment is in between removal, a great way to deep cleanse your scalp.

Can everyone get a head spa treatment? We are unable to perform a head spa treatment if you have the following: Lice, open sores with any blood, and abrasions, please reach out to your doctor or dermatologist.

Can I get a head spa if my hair has been color treated? We would recommend to wait a week after your hair has been colored and also a week after your head spa treatment. It is not recommended to apply any chemicals after your scalp has been deep cleansed.

What should I wear to my head spa treatment? Please wear something comfortable so you can experience a relaxing time. We will provide a robe and a blanket.

Will I leave with wet hair? Each head spa treatment will include a quick light dry. A full dry will take more time. If you would like a complete blow dry, you may add on as an additional charge.

Booking Policy

Please be courteous and give a 48 hours notice prior to your appointment.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice:
50% service fee will be charged to the card on file.


In the event of a no-show without prior notice, 100% of the intended service will be charged.

We kindly ask that customers arrive on time for their scheduled appointments. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee service for customers arriving more than 15 minutes late, the full service fee will still apply, the session may be shortened. If we are unable to accommodate a late arrival, the $75 deposit will be kept as a penalty fee.

I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding the scalp treatment service provided by Mizu Head Spa:

1. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in the head spa services. I understand that a head spa involves head and scalp massages, various products, and techniques which may carry certain risks of short-term muscle soreness. 

2. I understand that scalp treatment involves products used on the scalp and hair; involves direct contact with the skin and scalp which may cause allergic reactions, redness, irritation, or itching; depending on my skin’s sensitivity. 

3. I understand I am receiving a relaxation treatment and not a diagnosis medical treatment to cure any skin and scalp issues. 

4. I agree that Mizu Head Spa and its staff is not liable for any side effects of the service, scalp reaction short or long term, scalp discomfort, hair shedding, or allergic reactions. 

5. I acknowledge that if I have any medical conditions such as pregnancy, allergies, medications, skin conditions, etc; I have clearance from my physician to receive this treatment. 

6. I understand it is my responsibility to let my head spa specialist know of any discomfort I may experience during the session. 

7. I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to ask any questions and my questions have been answered.
